Nature’s Perfect Imperfections 1, 2 & 3

Using embroidery cotton, I stitched around a metal hoop to secure the fabric to the hoop. I then stitched a complimentary colour inside the hoop to further frame the intended artwork. Inspired by Autumn’s colour palette, I painted gouache on the fabric, allowing some of the colours to bleed into each other. Then stitched Autumn leaves around particular colours, using a blended embroidery cotton. 
When we look at nature, no two living things are identical - even identical twins have minor differences. Hence the title “Natures Perfect Imperfections”.  (One of a series of three.)
