Hi Folks, welcome to my website. For those of you who don't know me, here's a little blurb about who I am.

After leaving school, I first became a nurse & then a primary school teacher. I studied art up to & including grade 12 & also chose art as an elective subject while attaining my Bachelor of Education. I've continued to enjoy creating many forms of art ever since, also enjoying this passion with my daughter who is now at Uni studying a dual degree in secondary education & fine arts - with an excellence scholarship 🥰. Our sons are very 'IT' rather than 'arty'. Pardon the pun. 😜 All three are now accomplished young adults whom we're equally proud of. 💖

During my children's youth, I had to take leave from work for a few years to be the full time carer of one of our children who was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. I decided in what little spare time I had to write & illustrate a children's book mocking the circus-like events that took place in our family. Cathartic! However, in order not to single out one child, each of our kids were plagued with an endless array of illnesses & injuries - so there was plenty of material to draw upon.

I was advised by an editor that my children's book was timeless & something every family could appreciate & enjoy. But I had made the mistake of using coloured pencils for my illustrations, which he said "wouldn't enliven when printed as a book". He suggested I call upon another illustrator or immerse myself in different mediums. So I've been 'immersing' myself ever since & as a result both that children's book & two others that are incomplete are now in a box in a cupboard. 😄

Having had multiple medical challenges to manage with my children, as well as losing my dad to medical mismanagement, I had experienced the good, the bad & the ugly of the healthcare system. Tirelessly working to advocate for my family throughout these challenging years. When I returned to the workforce, these experiences, along with my academic credentials led me to work in the space of education & reform in the health, aged & community care industries. However at the beginning of 2022, following an accident, I found myself in hospital fighting for my own life.

After being discharged from hospital COVID 19 had arrived in Australia. Given I still had a lengthy recovery ahead, my husband & I decided returning to working in either health or education would put me at great risk of catching COVID. As a result, I once again returned to creativity for solace.

So here I am today folks! Through the generosity of my three wonderful children, web development by my daughter & the general love & support of "my fantastic four" - I now have myself a website. I hope you enjoy staying in touch & browsing through my products. Purchases would be great too. 😉🥰💖
